Our street version downpipe delivers excellent performance at an incredible price! We've used our stainless flange and front stainless transition up top where the heat and performance matter most. The shape/length of this section are critical for making smooth power delivery/HP gains and the amazing tone! We've then used a more economical migged aluminized pipe/rear transition/flange/02 bungs/and hanger to keep the cost down. The aluminized coating offers good rust protection/longevity and has been used for years by the oem factories and aftermarket exhaust companies. Once again this downpipe is considered a "racing only" pipe/not legal for use in many states so check you local laws before installing. The downpipes are built to order, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. The downpipe installs just like the oem part (uses oem gaskets!) and fit's all aftermarket performance exhaust systems!
The highflow downpipe has been dyno tested to increase performance up to 15HP!!! With a good exhaust gains of up to 25HP can be realized as well as increased fuel economy/quicker acceleration, and overall making the Veloster more spirited in every gear!!!
The stock converter has 2 cats/beds of element in it fairly close together---the transition from the turbo housing to the first bed is abrubt/has a lip/restriction---not to mention the cell count is very high---I'm not sure of the number, but I'd imagine it's around 600cel. Our product has one of the best transitions in the biz---Burns knows there stuff and have cars running in every major racing organization (indycar/alms/grand-am/nascar/brief stints in F1 etc...) in the world. The design of the downpipe has been maximised using the knowledge of over 40 yrs of professional engineering in exhaust technologies for motorsports.
