We've gone to Porterfield Enterprises, one of the best/leader's in performance brake pads and endurance brake compounds-with over 40 years of experience winning races, to construct a performance rear brake pad to match our fronts. The compound developed for the Veloster Turbo is dual purpose, suitable for performance driving on the street and of course the much needed increased performance for the track/autocross.

I've been racing for over 25 years and I can tell you in a roadrace car the pedal that wins endurance races is the one in the middle! Getting the brake balance perfect and developing the brake system to withstand the duration of the event is crucial to finishing on the podium. With that said you can't take a race pad compound and run it on the street---the pads will literally eat the rotors up and you'd be living with dust filled rims, crazy brake noise and of course changing rotors every 15k mi!!! We've got the absolute best balance between the race compound and street compound I've ever seen/had the pleasure of driving with. We've used many different brands (I should clarify that---we've tried nearly every major performance compound over the years) and the RS4 is just simply my favorite.
This is a high end pad and shouldn't be compared to brands like EBC/Hawk/Metal Matrix etc---those pads serve a purpose in the market for an affordable off the shelve bump in performance. This pad was built with increased performance in mind and will perform at much higher level's than the above
